What’s in a Name?
One question I get asked a lot is “Where do you come up with these Internet names?†If you’re like me, and I hope you’re not because that would violate the current cloning laws … but that’s another story, you may be thinking about starting a new business or investigating a new Internet venture.
First off, I’m going out on a limb and assuming that it is a viable and profitable idea. With that said, one of the things that gets on your to-do list is what to call it. Just like naming children, naming your business is just as important a feat. The name should be catchy, yet it should accurately describe what your business does. Just as important, the name should be both easy to spell and to remember.
As of this query, I have hundreds of internet names stashed away (at The-NetrepreneurDomains.com ) for future projects I hope one day manifest themselves. Unfortunately, almost all of them don’t even remotely follow the guidelines I’ve outline here. Hmmm, note to self … read this blurb before I buy more internet names.
